In this episode, Lindsey sits down with Hollie, Emma, and Susanne for an honest conversation about why serving in the local church truly matters. Three of these women currently serve on staff, and one volunteers faithfully after previously serving on staff—each bringing a unique perspective on what it looks like to use your gifts to build up the body of Christ.
Together they discuss how serving is not just about filling a role, but about spiritual growth, deeper connection, and participating in the mission God has given His church. When every believer steps into their unique calling, the church functions as it was designed—but when parts of the body remain inactive, something important is missing.
In this conversation, they talk about:
Why serving strengthens our own faith
How God uses serving to grow and shape us
The beauty of the church functioning as a body where every part matters
The relationships and community that form when we serve together
What’s at stake when believers stay on the sidelines
Why serving as a family—and modeling it for our children—matters for the next generation
Whether you’re already serving or still wondering where you fit, this episode will encourage you to see the vital role you play in the life of the church.

What does it look like for women to respond faithfully to a call into vocational ministry?
In this episode, I sit down with three young women on our church staff—Lindsey, Mary, and Emma—to talk about their unique journeys into ministry. They share how they first sensed God’s call, the role our church’s internship and apprenticeship programs played in shaping their paths, and what their day-to-day lives in ministry really look like across different areas of service.
You’ll hear honest reflections, meaningful moments that remind them why they do what they do, and encouragement for anyone discerning their own next step. Whether you’re wrestling with a sense of calling yourself or walking alongside a young woman who is, this conversation is meant to inspire courage, clarity, and obedience.

Monday Feb 16, 2026

In this deeply honest and hope-filled conversation, Lindsey sits down with Meredith, Morgan, and Kasey to talk about body image, disordered eating, and the healing Christ offers. Meredith shares her personal testimony of struggling with an eating disorder as a college athlete and coach. Morgan—a licensed counselor serving teens, college students, young adults, and adults navigating life’s challenges—offers clinical and spiritual insight shaped by her work in body image and eating disorder recovery. Kasey, an intuitive eating health educator, personal trainer, and founder of Joyful Health Co., brings encouragement from her own story and her passion for helping women find freedom with food and fitness by grace.
Together, they explore the emotional, physical, and spiritual layers beneath these struggles and consider how the gospel tenderly reshapes the way we see our bodies, beauty, and care for ourselves. From recognizing warning signs and seeking wise support to cultivating practical rhythms of healing and hope, this conversation reminds us that freedom is possible—and that our bodies were created for God’s glory, not our striving.

Most importantly, the conversation turns to Scripture—highlighting identity in Christ, deep contentment in God, and the unique Kingdom impact single women are able to carry right now.

In this episode of The Good Portion, we share about the Bible study we’re about to begin with Prince Women. Why do we need women’s ministry in the local church—and why does it matter right now?
In the first episode of The Good Portion, we begin by sharing the heart behind Prince Women and reflecting on the history of women’s ministry in our church. Five women who have played meaningful roles in this ministry over the years join the conversation, offering perspectives shaped by different seasons of life—from Gen Z to Boomer.
Together, we talk about how women’s ministry has personally shaped our faith, why gathering as women is both biblical and necessary, and how the church can faithfully respond in a cultural moment when young women are leaving the church at higher rates than their male peers.
This episode sets the foundation for the season ahead, inviting women of all ages to consider what it looks like to choose the good portion—sitting at the feet of Jesus and learning to follow Him together.
